GOLF CLUB

One of the oldest ladies golf clubs in the world

At present the club house is a well-furnished, cozy and comfortable cottage surrounded by lawns, plants, flowerbeds and tall graceful trees, and is very popular with the members and guests for hosting small get-togethers.

The club was Founded on  May 7, 1891,

The first All India Ladies Amateur Golf Championship was organized by the CLGC at Calcutta in 1905 and a silver trophy, known as the Walker Trophy, was presented to the winner by Mr. Walker himself.

The club has a 9-hole golf course on Maidan opposite Fort William South Gate and 18 holes putting green and practice facility inside the clubhouse.

Golf Training camps are organised from time to time, and members and their families may avail of the facility based on their interests.
